Wolves’ business for the winter transfer window may have been and gone, but the club are already preparing for activity this summer after fresh reports suggested the potential of movement.
According to the Telegraph, the hierarchy at the west Midlands outfit are ‘bracing’ themselves for interest in star winger Adama Traore at the end of the season as many of Europe’s heavyweights are set to go on a spending spree.
It’s claimed that the Spaniard has caught the eye with wide-forwards high on the shopping list for many.
The report has sparked a series of reaction from sections of the Molineux faithful as many have been debating what sort of fee or deal they’d take for the 24-year-old speedster.
Here’s what they have been saying…
One supporter went bold with his demands, commanding a £120m fee as well as Lionel Messi – presumably if Barcelona came in for him – while other numbers ranged from £65m to £150m.
However, some were unwilling to even entertain the thought of Traore leaving Molineux anytime soon.
“No way” and “I’m out” were two common responses as if it were a Dragons Den style auction – though, they have a point as one supporter claimed it would be a big step backwards whilst another believed he would have to up his goal-return in order to command such an illustrious fee.
And then there were further fans who would take such a deal if it fell their way.
Many were of the belief that they could use the funds to strengthen other areas whilst there was even a call to sign the manager up first as he’s clearly more vital to the club in his eyes.
For true Wolves fans only: How much did each of these players cost?
And in other news, Nuno Santo went against the wishes of his recruitment team with this transfer call …
