U.S. internationals Weston McKennie and Tim Weah helped Juventus to a stunning 3-2 victory over Venezia on Sunday as the clinched a top-sour spot in Serie A and confirmed their spot in the UEFA Champions League next season.
Goals from Kenan Yildiz, Randal Kolo Muani and Manuel Locatelli helped Juve to victory on the final day of the campaign, while both McKennie and Weah arrived as late second-half substitutes.
With the loss, Venezia's relegation to Serie B was confirmed. The club needed a win, and help from other results around the league, in order to stay in the top flight of Italian soccer. Fellow U.S. international Gianluca Busio did not feature for the Venetian side on the day, with various reports out of Italy suggesting he had a muscle injury in the buildup to the match.
Juventus ended the campaign in fourth place on 70 points.

Both McKennie and Weah were relegated to bench roles in surprising fashion for the contest, after they had each started the past two matches for Juventus. McKennie was introduced in the 76th minute, while Weah was brought on in the 81st, as both Americans helped close out the game to secure three points.
With Venezia's demotion to Serie B confirmed, Busio will not feature in Serie A next season, reducing the number of U.S. internationals in the top flight from five to four – also including the AC Milan duo of Yunus Musah and Christian Pulisic.
