Southampton host Premier League champions Manchester City on Sunday at St Mary’s Stadium, with the Cityzens arriving in woeful form by their own exceptionally high standards.
Pep Guardiola’s side have lost their last two Premier League matches – to Crystal Palace and Leicester City – and find themselves seven points behind frontrunners Liverpool, at the time of writing.
The Saints, meanwhile, have shown improvements since the appointment of new boss Ralph Hasenhuttl and may believe they can exploit the flaws in City’s game that have been revealed by the Eagles and the Foxes, and so claim a shock victory on Sunday.
Former Wigan & Fulham man, Jimmy Bullard recently showed that he’s still got it! Check out the video below...
However, in order to do so, Hasenhuttl must be bold and aggressive with his team selection. Picking Mohamed Elyounoussi, whose pace on the flanks can expose City’s recent vulnerability to counter-attacks, would give the Saints a chance of inflicting a third defeat on the Sky Blues.
The 24-year-old Moroccan has not been regularly involved for the south coast club in recent weeks, but now is the time for Hasenhuttl to be bold and give Elyounoussi a chance.
What do you think, Saints fans, should Elyounoussi start against City?
