Things are certainly starting to look as they should at Celtic after a bumpy start to the season.
Brendan Rodgers would have started to feel the pressure as results had not gone their way and fans were starting to become frustrated with how things were going after a number of poor results.
However, the Bhoys have enjoyed a resurgence in recent weeks and currently top the Scottish Premiership table, as well as having a good chance of qualifying for the next round of the Europa League following some impressive displays.
And, it appears the manager’s genius has paid off for one individual, as they have become a key member of the squad this season under the Northern Irishman.
Ryan Christie spent last year out on loan at Aberdeen and had been linked with a move away from Parkhead in the summer, with clubs in England thought to have been interested.
Many had doubted whether the 23-year-old would remain at Celtic Park and, if he did, if he would be able to make it as a Celtic player.
However, the Hoops have had a number of injury concerns this year, which has seen Christie emerge to the front where he has arguably been one of their best players this season.
The Scotland international has had a number of impressive performances for Celtic this year, which has seen him become a starter in their last three league games, bagging two goals in the process.
In fact, his efforts for the Bhoys have seen him rewarded recently with a new contract, keeping the £765k-rated ace, as per Transfermarkt, at the club until 2022.
Rodgers’ faith in the player certainly appears to have paid off and there will be a sense of interest in how far Christie can go in the game with Celtic.
Celtic fans – thoughts?
