Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has been tipped to follow Zinedine Zidane's example and reverse his decision to retire from France duty.

Griezmann, who earned 137 caps for the French national team, decided to bring the curtain down on his international career last month. After making his debut in 2014, the talented playmaker became an integral part of Didier Deschamps' squad, playing an important role in Les Bleus winning the 2018 World Cup and reaching the final of the competition in Qatar four years later.

A fresh report from journalist Romain Molina has now surfaced which claims that the Atletico star could consider coming out of retirement in the future, following in the footsteps of Zidane. Molina added that Griezmann is waiting for France's performances to turn "poorly" before potentially returning to the fold. The Atletico ace was reportedly unhappy when Deschamps named Kylian Mbappe the captain after Hugo Lloris' retirement as he felt that his importance in the team was undermined.
